My goal as a tutor is to help students gain admission to the school of their dreams. I went to Bates College, earning my bachelor's degree in political science and government. I then began tutoring, and I've been able to help hundreds of students realize their full academic potential. My SAT test prep students improve their scores immensely, as have students I've helped prepare for the SSAT, PSAT, SAT subject tests, AP language exam, and AP literature exam. Also I've helped many high school students develop compelling college admissions essays, leading them through each aspect of their piece to bring out their personality and personal qualities. When I have free time, I enjoy reading, taking classes at the writers studio, tennis, soccer, current events, and exploring the city.
